The Day Has Arrived!

A word about our ticket prices

Ticket prices for the National Play and Playwork Conference 2018 have been increased by about 6% on 2017 prices. This is about $16 per day or, if using our instalment options, $8 per instalment. The ticket cost is still under that of many other comparable national and state wide events and we have kept any increase as low as we can as we recognise that the work sectors we represent are generally low paid.

Malarkey Playwork receives no external funding in the form of grant aid or sponsorship for organising the conference – we completely self-fund the event from income gained over the year. We see this as important to our general working philosophy and we value your participation. Evaluations from both previous conferences have also shown us that you really value the instalment option and we plan to continue that as well as small discounts for group bookings.

The conference is the only national standing conference that provides a single focus on the issue of play and Playwork. We are proud to be able to deliver the event for the third year in a row and see it as a central part of our work in bringing the principles and practice of Playwork to Australia.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Team Malarkey Playwork

Well, here we go again!

Tickets are now available for the 3rd National Play and Playwork Conference in Australia. 'Conference Purple' (our code name) will be held at Bond University in Gold Coast QLD on Friday and Saturday 9th and 10th March 2018.

The theme for 2018 is 'Go Hard. Go Playwork' which is all about how to actually go about applying the principles and practice of Playwork in to our work settings - no matter type of service we work in.
